Just 4 Kids Pediatric Clinic is a Nurse practitioner-owned and operated clinic founded by Dr. Shainy Varghese in 2010. With certified nurse practitioners, we provide well-child and sick visits, in-house labs, and Immunizations; Dr. Varghese envisioned creating nurse-managed clinics to provide quality health care compassionately. Our mission is to provide quality, accessible, evidence-based medical care in a family-centered environment. We believe in offering more than vaccines, prescriptions, physicals, sick visits, and labs. As pediatric primary care providers, we take responsibility for their health and well-being, placing children at the center.
Dr. Shainy Varghese is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and an Associate Professor at the University of Houston College of Nursing. Dr. Varghese earned her Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed her dissertation on Telehealth. Dr. Varghese earned her bachelor’s in nursing with Midwifery from India, a Master’s in nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Houston Health Science Center Houston and has been practicing as a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2004. In 2010, she opened a nurse-managed clinic in Stafford, Texas, to provide healthcare for underserved children. She was instrumental in opening the University of Houston College of Nursing Health Clinic to serve the homeless and underserved in Midtown Houston. Dr. Varghese’s research focuses on Telehealth, Vitamin D Deficiency in Children, and Gaming Addiction in Children. Dr. Varghese enjoys teaching research, pediatrics, and evidence-based practice. She received Houston Chronicle Salute to Nurses top 150 nurses and the Good Samaritan Foundation bronze medal in 2022. Dr. Varghese is a published researcher and has presented her findings at local, national, and international conferences. She is a Global Nurse Consultant and a Fulbright Specialist from 2022- 2025. Dr. Varghese enjoys cooking, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with family.
