Virtual Visits

Just 4 Kids Pediatric Clinic now offers Virtual Visit (Telemedicine) Virtual Visits (VideoVisits) are a convenient way to connect to our providers from the comfort of your home using a computer or any mobile device with an Internet connection.

VideoVisits may be provided for:

• ADHD
• Rash
• Pink eye
• Cold
• Diarrhea
• Acne
• Mental health (ex: anxiety, depression, etc)

Newborn Visits

• If your newborn was in the hospital for less than 48 hours, please schedule an appointment for a newborn follow-up visit two to three days after discharge.
• If your newborn was in the hospital for more than 48 hours, please schedule an appointment for a follow-up visit seven days after discharge.
• If your newborn was discharged from the hospital with special follow-up instructions from the provider, please call us and schedule your appointment accordingly.
• You should contact your insurance company as soon as possible after your child is born. Most health plans allow 30 days to add your newborn to your insurance plan. Please remember to bring all newborn discharge papers, including vaccination record.

School, Camp & WIC Forms

Please be advised that the provider will only complete these forms if your child has had a physical that year. An annual examination will provide the information necessary for the completion of school, sports and camp physical forms. Health forms to be completed by our staff normally require 72 business hours for completion. Once the form is completed, it will appear on your patient portal for you to print out at your convenience. We do NOT keep any completed forms in the office.

Well Child Appts / Physicals

Just 4 Kids Pediatric clinic follows well-child visit guidelines promoted by American Academy of Pediatrics. During these appointments, we have an opportunity to review with the parents’ issues regarding general health, immunizations, nutrition, behavioral problems, school and learning problems, and other psycho-social or developmental issues that arise. We feel strongly that complete physical done by the primary care provider with a parent present are in your child’s best interest. Well Visits Appointments can be made up to 12 months in advance conveniently thru our Patient Portal or by calling our office.

Walk-In Visits

Walk-ins are welcome. But please call the office to speak with our nursing staff and make an appointment. They will ensure the provider has the appropriate time to address your concerns.

Referrals

• When requesting a referral to a specialist, our provider must be familiar with the medical condition for which the referral is needed in order to approve it and fill out the necessary clinical information. This usually requires a visit to our office.
• All referrals we recommend based on your coverage and our experience with their service. These referrals will be completed within seven business days. In the event our providers deem an emergency referral is necessary, it will be done sooner.
• please get in touch with the specialist’s office two business days before your visit to verify that the referral process has been completed. This will ensure that no complications occur on the day of your specialist visit.

Sick Visits

All efforts will be made to accommodate ill children within 24 hours when appropriate. Advice will be available from one of our skilled office staff during office hours. Sick visits usually focus on a single problem. Call as early as possible, as we have openings for sick visits at the start of each workday. The phone line opens at 9 am.

Medical Records & Immunization Records

Medical records and immunization records are conveniently located on your Patient Portal. You have access to these records 24/7. No record will be faxed or mailed.

Prescriptions

We Only Use Electronic Prescribing. E-Prescribing is a prescriber's ability to electronically send an accurate, error-free, and understandable prescription directly to a pharmacy from our office. Please have the phone number of your pharmacy of choice available at every visit. Antibiotics will not be prescribed over the phone. Prescription refills are made thru our Patient Portal ONLY. We do not call in any prescriptions over the phone. Please allow 24 hours for refill requests to be completed. No refills will be called in after business hours.
